Spring in Napa: Sunset Over Flora Springs Vineyards

May 22, 2020

If you miss visiting Napa Valley we invite you to sit back, pour yourself a glass of Flora Springs wine, and watch our new video of Sunset over Flora Springs Vineyard. Filmed spring 2020 in our Crossroads Vineyard in Oakville, home of our Soliloquy and Holy Smoke wines, this relaxing montage will transport you to the Napa Valley you love and miss, and give you a peek at a vintage in the making.

Located off the Oakville Cross Road, the 95-acre Crossroads Ranch is home to Flora Spring’s eight-acre Soliloquy Sauvignon Blanc Vineyard. This property is the site of a previously unknown Sauvignon Blanc clone – Soliloquy – which was discovered by the Komes and Garvey family and certified by UC Davis. The soils are a mix of clay and well-drained sandy loam with a reddish hue from the traces of oxidized iron deposited by the Napa River over time. In addition to Sauvignon Blanc, this site hosts Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Our single vineyard Holy Smoke Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Crossroads Ranch.

Flora Springs Receives Honorable Mention in Wine Spectator Video Contest

September 23, 2019

We are thrilled to announced that our video “Soliloquy: A Singular Wine | In 7 Acts” – which details the decades of work it took to recreate the 2018 Soliloquy from memory – received a distinguished Honorable Mention: Best Historical Journey in the 2019 Wine Spectator Video Contest.

With hundreds of entries along the theme of “Wine Wanderlust,” Wine Spectator recognized our work and says, “follow the Flora Springs family as they overcome great hurdles on this epic odyssey of wine and rebirth.”

The video was edited and renamed “Soliloquy: A Three-Decade Odyssey” in order to comply with the contest rules. You can learn more and view the full-length video here.
