New Labels Reflect a New Era for Flora Springs

Introducing our new wines for Summer, and a new look for Flora Springs. The new labels reflect a new era for Flora Springs with reimagined modern look. The new labels, designed by CF Napa; reflect a new era for Flora Springs as we reimagine our matriarch Flora in a beautiful new way. Pearlescent foil honors the delicacy of nature, and the flowing illustration of Flora depicts her favoring the land with flowers. The colorful foil flowers reflect the wine hues and represent Flora’s connection to the earth and love of nature. This modern new look adorns our Flora Reserve wines which are crafted to represent all that Napa Valley has to offer while giving you the chance to play outside of Cabernet. Meant to be enjoyed with friends, these are delicious, approachable and consistent. Access to these wines is guaranteed through our Great Taste Wine Club.

2023 Sauvignon Blanc

A popular white wine, that is known for being light, bright and airy with tasting notes of pear, grapefruit, lime, white peach and herbal qualities. The primary flavors are citrus fruit-led, with Napa Valley varietals usually leaning more towards a mineral taste. Our 2023 vintage was whole-cluster fermented in stainless steel tanks followed by seven months aging in 100% French oak barrels. The wine rested on its lees and was stirred every two weeks, re-suspending the lees and lending a creamy texture to the finished wine.

Derived from the French word meaning “wild”, Sauvignon Blanc is a light white wine best enjoyed in warm weather. Drink Sauvignon Blanc in a stemmed glass, you do not want your hand to warm the wine. It’s versatility allows it to pair with many meals or snacks. Charcuterie is a must! Our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc boasts an aromatic bouquet of zesty citrus, ripe peach, tropical pineapple, and luscious lemon curd. On the palate, a symphony of flavors includes tropical and stone fruits, with complementary hints of brown spice and toasted almond. The creamy mouthfeel resolves into a fresh, juicy and lingering finish.

Made from fruit from the southern edge of the St. Helena AVA with close proximity to the Napa River, P&J Vineyard offers a diverse blend of alluvial soils. These deep soils help the vineyard come into balance during the warm St. Helena summers. Immediately after harvesting, whole clusters of the grapes for our 2023 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc were gently pressed and the juice was placed into 100% French oak barrels for fermentation. The wine aged in barrel for seven months with bi-weekly lees stirring to add creamy texture and finesse prior to bottling. Shop now.

2023 Rosé Wine

Our 2023 Napa Valley Rosé is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Malbec grapes grown in sustainably-farmed Napa Valley vineyards. We made the wine using a classic technique known as Saignée or Bleeding. Once the handpicked grapes arrived at the winery, we whole-cluster pressed the fruit, removing the juice from the grape skins quickly in order to preserve freshness and imbue the wine with a lovely, light pink color. After fermentation the wine rested in tank for seven months prior to bottling with twice-weekly lees stirring.

Rosé wine, also known as blush wine, is a refreshing and versatile option for wine enthusiasts. Its pink hue makes it perfect for summertime sipping and pairing with light dishes. The grape skins are removed after only a few hours, which gives the wine its distinctive pink color. Rosé wine should be served chilled but not too cold. The ideal temperature is between 45 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If the wine is too cold, it will mute the flavors and aromas. Our Napa Valley Rosé is an aromatic blend of white peach, vibrant blood orange, succulent watermelon and wet stone. Its refined character is enlivened by brisk, juicy flavors and a deliciously pure fruit profile. Fresh, racy, and finely chiseled, our Rosé offers an irresistible balance of elegance and refreshment.

In the past decades, winemakers have brought a finesse to the style of Rosé to elevate it from a back-yard BBQ wine to a complex and stylish blush wine many enjoy today. Thanks to the vast spectrum of Rosé styles, there is surely one to suit you. Our 2023 Rosé leans more towards the delicately fruitier side, while others may present as sweeter or more floral.

2023 Vermentino

Vermentino is becoming increasingly popular in Napa Valley as winemakers experiment with different grape varieties to produce unique wines. The warm climate in Napa Valley can be conducive to growing Vermentino grapes, resulting in wines that showcase the local terroir while still carrying the signature characteristics of the grape variety. Some Napa Valley wineries have successfully incorporated Vermentino into their wine portfolios, offering consumers a taste of this vibrant and versatile grape variety. Vermentino is a light-bodied white wine that grows mostly in Italy on the island of Sardinia. With the exact European origin still unknown, there are select places where the variety took root and thrives – mostly warm, dry climates with gravelly soils. Wherever it is found, the saying is always the same: “drink Vermentino and you will be happier!” It is known as the sunny wine.

Our second release of Vermentino, a wine we made specifically for wine club members. This wine is a rare find – it’s sourced from a tiny, 2-acre block of organically farmed Vermentino located in Rutherford. We believe this is the only Vermentino planted in Napa Valley, making this one of just two Vermentino wines produced here. Gentle handling of the grapes and lightly oaking the wine in seasoned French barrels have resulted in a compelling wine.

While Vermentino has some aging potential, this varietal is best drunk young. Get the most out of your first sip by drinking during the summer months, as it has many refreshing qualities. Chill lightly and serve in a stemmed glass. There is no need to decant this wine, as there are barley any tannins that would require softening. Pronounced “vur-men-teeno”. Our Napa Valley Vermentino is a delightful mix of citrus fruits – lemon, yellow and pink grapefruit — accented by subtle pear notes and a hint of sea spray. With undertones of mineral, green apple, fresh ginger and almond, the wine offers a fresh, crisp, light-bodied experience that enlivens the palate.

Immediately after harvesting, the whole grape clusters of Vermentino were gently pressed and the juice was placed into 100% French oak barrels for fermentation. The wine aged in barrel for seven months with bi-weekly lees stirring to add creamy texture and finesse prior to bottling. Shop now.
