2022 Flora’s Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon
Flora’s Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon is a proud part of our Single Vineyard Series, a collection that captures the soul of individual sites across Napa Valley. Each vintage is shaped by the natural world, its rhythms, surprises, and challenges. From unpredictable weather to the unseen trials beneath the soil, we work with intention and resilience to bring each vineyard’s story to life. As farmers and stewards of the land, we embrace these obstacles with reverence, knowing that the final, most meaningful touch comes with Flora’s blessing, a quiet moment before harvest when we honor the land, give thanks, and invite her spirit to guide the fruit from vine to bottle. This is more than winemaking—it’s a legacy rooted in nature, nurtured by hand, and inspired by the divine.
Flora’s Legacy Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, expressive wine shaped by the land and time-honored craft. Sourced from premier Napa Valley vineyard sites, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a dark, concentrated core of black cherry, cassis, and ripe blackberry. On the nose, hints of espresso, cedar, and dark chocolate emerge, layered with French oak spice and an alluring touch of mint—adding aromatic complexity and dimension.
The palate is full-bodied yet graceful, with a velvety mouthfeel that carries richness without weight. Notes of mocha and baking spice weave through the fruit, revealing depth and polish in every sip. Fine-grained tannins provide structure and balance, guiding the wine to a long, elegant finish that lingers with warmth and refinement.
Crafted as a tribute to Flora and the enduring spirit she represents, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful expression of legacy, rooted in the past and shaped for those who appreciate timeless beauty in every glass.
Oakville Vineyard, Rutherford AVA, Napa Valley
The 2022 Flora’s Legacy Cabernet draws on estate-grown grapes from the Crossroads Vineyard in Oakville. The best fruit of the vintage is selected to make this special reserve.
The 2022 vintage will be remembered for a growing season that was near ideal, with abundant early-season rains and excellent spring and summer weather, culminating in what many vintners called "the tale of two harvests." The white wine harvest kicked off in early August, followed quickly by red wine varietals. But triple-digit heat over five days in early September - followed by a spate of rain - brought harvest to a sudden halt. After the rain, grapes were left to hang through October, with mild weather that allowed winemakers to await perfect ripeness. Although the harvest was challenging, winemakers describe 2022 wines as having perfect acidity and freshness with remarkable flavors and textures. Red wines show excellent structure with deep red colors, luxurious tannins and exquisite fruit-forward aromatics.
