The 2025 Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc opens with an inviting, confectionary lift—notes of macaron and delicate meringue layered over lemon shortbread and fresh citrus blossom. A core of ripe nectarine and white orchard fruit brings softness and warmth, rounding the aromatic profile. On the palate, a creamy, whipped texture unfolds, offering a sense of richness without weight, beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity that keeps the wine lifted, bright, and precise. The finish is clean and refreshing, with a lingering interplay of citrus and subtle sweetness.

The 2025 Sauvignon Blanc was crafted with a thoughtful, texture-driven approach. Fermented in barrel using indigenous yeast, the wine was aged in a combination of 50% neutral French oak and 50% stainless steel. Full malolactic fermentation softens the natural acidity and enhances a creamy, rounded mouthfeel, while the stainless steel preserves aromatic lift and freshness. The neutral oak contributes subtle depth and integration, resulting in a wine that balances richness with precision and clarity. Best served at 45-55F. 

The 2025 growing season in Napa Valley began with a mild winter and moderate rainfall, providing essential soil moisture without excessive vigor. Spring arrived evenly, with temperate conditions supporting a healthy and uniform budbreak. A warm but balanced summer followed, marked by steady daytime temperatures and cool evenings that preserved natural acidity. Limited heat spikes allowed for gradual phenolic development and extended hang time, resulting in fruit with concentrated flavor, vibrant aromatics, and structural precision. Harvest commenced under clear skies, with grapes arriving at optimal ripeness and excellent balance.
