Noted Napa sommelier Christina Stanley explains why she loves and recommends our flagship red wine, Trilogy.
Trilogy dates back to 1984 when our family decided to make the finest wine possible by selecting the highest quality wine lots culled from our estate vineyards in Napa Valley. Back then it was one of Napa Valley’s first proprietary red blends, and today this Bordeaux-style wine continues to be sourced from our own Komes-Garvey estate vineyards.
Soliloquy is named for Flora Springs’ proprietary Sauvignon Blanc clone, a singular clone entirely unique to us.
It nearly went extinct when the vines became diseased a couple decades ago, but through various heroic measures we were able to preserve the clone in our Crossroads Vineyard. Recently I decided to re-create Soliloquy, relying on my early memory of the wine to produce what I think could be the finest white wine we’ve ever made.
It was a long process, three years of countless blending trials, but today I’m proud to say that the 2019 Soliloquy has earned its place as Flora Springs’ flagship white wine, a fitting companion to our flagship red, Trilogy. Join us at the Grand Tasting & VIP Event, hosted at the Boca Raton Resort’s Great Hall on Saturday, March 7. The event will feature top restaurants in Boca Raton and South Florida as well as over 140 wines from around the world. Guests will be treated to live music and various interactive stations throughout the space. There will be a Silent Auction and Live Auction at the event, with proceeds benefiting The Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum.
This popular and well-established event draws over 2,000 guests from throughout South Florida who enjoy a deluxe food and wine experience. Boca Bacchanal brings together world class chefs and vintners, offering their finest specialties, while providing residents and visitors with a delightful opportunity to support an outstanding cause. Since its inception in 2003, the Boca Bacchanal Wine & Food Festival has attracted scores of top chefs and hundreds of prized vintners from the United States and beyond.
Flora Springs is excited to participate in Premiere Napa Valley 2020! This is the time of year when all eyes are on the Napa Valley wine industry. Not only is Premiere Napa Valley America’s original and most prestigious barrel tasting and auction, the event offers a first taste of the new vintage (2018) personally presented by Napa’s top winemakers.
More than 500 trade and media guests will attend the main event on February 22 and hundreds more will be in town for the week’s activities. Like other vintners who participate, Flora Springs has created a one-of-a-kind wine lot just for this auction. While this event is for members of the Trade only, you can take a look at our lot. Who knows? Maybe a restaurant or wine shop near you will be the winning bidder on our lot and make it available to you!
