It was 1984 when we set out to make the best wine possible by hand selecting the highest quality wine lots culled from our estate vineyards. By blending traditional Bordeaux varietals--Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc--we created Trilogy, one of the original Meritage wines. Over the years we’ve added other Bordeaux varietals to the blend, always seeking to create the very finest wine from each individual vintage. Our 2011 Trilogy brings together Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Malbec in a wine that is rich, full-bodied and opulent. The dark fruit aromatics carry notes of anise, black pepper and sandalwood, while dark black cherry and cassis flavors drive the palate accompanied by vanilla and white pepper notes. The wine has a seductively lush texture that lingers luxuriously in the mouth.

After more than three decades of crafting elegant, complex wines from our Napa Valley estate vineyards, Trilogy remains one of Flora Springs' most revered legacies. Blended from several Bordeaux varietals, the wine embodies meticulous, sustainable farming practices along with the evolution of a wine style originated by the Komes and Garvey families and honed to perfection by winemaker Paul Steinauer. These varietals merge to form a beautifully balanced and lush wine, with delicate aromatics of light pepper and granite dust and trademark flavors of ripe blackberries, blueberries and cassis. We are proud to say that after thirty-four years of winemaking and twenty-six years of crafting Trilogy, our goal remains the same: to handcraft the finest wine possible from the Flora Springs estate.
