Tasting Notes

The 2005 Holy Smoke follows in the legacy as one of our most unique Single Vineyard Cabernets. Exhibiting spice, berries and licorice aromas and flavors, it's texture is rich and its mid palate is complex. The tannins are soft and elegant, leading to an amazingly long finish with an ever-so-slight hint of oak. Holy Smoke Cabernets are known for their youthful enjoyment and potentially long life. The 2005 is no exception. And, given the characteristics of the 2005 vintage, this wine should age gracefully for years to come.

exhibits dense ruby/purple color and notes of charcoal, black currant, sweet cherry, earth, and underbrush. A deep, full-bodied wine that is more supple and forward than its two predecessors, but beautiful, it should be drunk over the next 12-15 years.
